When I was six, I ran away after a fight with my sister. 20 years later, I’ve developed better crisis management skills.
I grew up in two different Indian states. The first was Goa- a calm, beachy place tucked into the Western corner of the peninsula. Having spent countless Sundays building sandcastles in the sun, I instantly smell the sea when I think of my childhood.
The second was New Delhi- a place where culture and chaos enveloped me, shaping me in ways I couldn't have imagined.
I carry both these homes with me as I try to build a new one here- 7,000 miles away. To quote the inspirational and incomparable Elle Woods- "What, like it's hard?"
